More Flamenco...

Really annoying process...From illustrator, to photoshop, back to illustrator and live trace for the millionth time..Decided i would treat everything as background before I transferred it back to illustrator, otherwise it just turned into an odd ugly mess of shapes on top of the nice yellow part..These are the 2 versions so far...I have no idea exactly how to advance or fix it..

Flamenco in progress

Flamenco further progress..Had to take in layers of illustrator custom brushes and turn them into jpeg, then return them to llustrator and live trace....it shrank the file...Kinda got interesting effects that I didn't have before. I need to up the contrast..change things around and perhaps even simplify...I have a muddy mess so far..

Illustraor Troubles

Not liking adobe illustrator...and we have to use it for project D:
File turned out MASSIVE.....though I kind of like where I am going with this.
Thankfully I know how to fix file size now..

 Theme is Flamenco....I'm also commissioned to do a flamenco-inspired painting..so getting some ideas for that.

SPEEDYY

Sorry for lack of posts! I really should be doing more speed painting to imporve my skills. Thankfully, my skills don't die after almost two weeks...or whenever the last time I went to digitally paint..
So, was going for a cityscape. I haven't exactly done much of an accomplished cityscape...sorry I just happen to plant it in a field...which feels a little strange, but oh well...I actually managed to rescue the details in the end! Good thing for colour balance..everything was even more blue than you see here.

WIP

working on a new image....less of a speed thing and more of for a contest..I have maybe 2/5 entries so far done..this would be the 3rd! Using a little bit of texture of a gold doily i randomly once had..scanned it in so the scan is about all I have. Door is art-nouveau inspired..we'll see if this turns out

Forgot about that whole work larger and shrink for sharpness thing until i saved and then shrunk the jpeg wip...so much crisper than my original.

Sewage

Another practice painting..wanted to draw something gloomy and glowing..
Plus add a little fun to it with someone actually trying to fish in a radioactive pond

Alien attempt

So I went for an alien attempt. Deciding to use octopus as a starting point because my friend loves them and..well I think an alioen with tentacles would be awesome.
This is more or less a quick attempt..or should I say a procrastination piece from my actual homework

Experiment

So did a little experimenting today...was lacking inspiration for a bit..decided really needed to draw more..
Had fun with lassoo tool a bit...and attempted to draw a serpent-like creature
