The Lake Home

More bridges. Well, ths was just originally me testing out new ways to paint foliage and a lake..it looked boring as hell..then I added a tiny bridge in the background...which made it look like a tiny insert of Manet's painting...so I decided to add another bridge....and then a home so the bridges actually lead to somewhere.
Took 3h in total? My arches...I think are still a little off. Will keep at it and get better!

WIP

No full drawrings today..just been too busy to have a chunk of time to get much done..only a WIP.
OMG. lifesaver. I already forgot the person's name on that youtube video ..such a simple way to make perspective lines really fast! Usually my horizon line was just about the most accurate of anything and everything else as you may have guessed was a little ..off...Saves me so much time now when trying to put things in more epic perspective (seeing as I feel like I need to make more interesting ones).

This is just a random lake..so far adding in some bridges...I may add more architecture and change around the colouring..I hate how boring the colours are right now.

Speedy Environment

This is around 45 minutes max. I discovered starting with a green or brown background gets me stuck and uninspired fast. I left it at 30 mins of working on it...then today went back spent 15 minutes because I thought there was still something there to be saved. I do love my valleys. Either way it was just another practice run at creating something from nothing as fast as possible. Efficiency is fun.  

Another WIP finished

posted a WIP of this a while ago...decided to finally finish it. Nothing special. More experimenting. I know I am not a big fan of just doing black and white..in a painterly way. Not so fun.
Maybe I need to draw more characters..I should get to that. I am supposed to be working on a collab with a friend...but I think that's going to be a slow and almost non-existant process. Not that I don't want to draw. I think I'm breaking my own personal record of posting nearly every day and drawing every day.

A side note...I will be reno-ing this blog a little...code gives me a headache now. It used to be easier for me to understand

Quiet Street

Finally done. Well, it took 5h in total..I stalled a little in terms of what else to add though.
Decided to add a car...I still wanted the scene to be in current realm of time..just old architecture.
Subtle subtle tiny hints of blood...Just because it's a pretty scene doesn't mean it's a safe place to stay.

Speed painting

Also...finished a speed painting in an hour.
Something moody. evening sun going down on a camp created from a long ago shipwreck. It overlooks a castle in the distance. Ready to be robbed.

Preview...sort of felt like doing some more architecture..but smaller-scale..and maybe better perspective.
Need to work on adding more personality to the quiet street because there is not anything...really going on right now.
